I can't believe my flight for Malta is happening in less than 6 days. A year after talking about the plans..it is finally here!! June 1 to June 15 will be filled with sounds of ocean splashes, cultural festivals, gourmet food, impeccable wine, and ongoing adventure with three great friends.
Why Malta? That is so random...where is that anyways?? Malta is a little island (about the size of PEI) off the coast of Italy..only a short boat ride to Sicily. It makes me melt to think about what our pallets will experience there! Christina, my friend from college, has graciously invited Allison and I to join her on her trip to visit her grandparents and close relatives. We are very fortunate to being staying with her grandparents which is a huge cost saver and great for navigation in the city!!
I have been following Malta Inside Out and Malta Lunch to get a feel for the culture, travel ideas and updates on upcoming events.
What I really hope to get out of this trip is LOTS of pictures and with that comes excursions. I love spontaneity, adventures, trying new things and living with no regrets. I would really like to partake in a wine tour, take a ferry or taxi to a different town, attend cultural events, eat great food, drink lattes and wine...
The update and photos that tell the story await when I return with a beaming smile and memories that will last a lifetime.
