The past two weeks have been quite the adventure filled with developing interview skills and exploring all the marketing career paths there are. Before I started the job search I knew I was interested in an entry-level marketing position but I did not turn down other interviews because I wanted to explore all my options. From this experience I met new people, developed confidence talking about myself and secured my interest in marketing management.

Tips for Success
- Use your network of contacts (your mom, teacher, friend, twitter/facebook updates etc.) and tell them what you are looking for
- Don't be picky...just go because you never know if that will turn out to be your dream job or someone you could do business with later
- Set goals...I applied for 2 jobs a day!
- Confidence. You have the skills, you have the ability to learn, and you have the personality

I really think that interviews should be less focused on drilling you to "prove" yourself and more focused on what I am like as a person. My skills, experience, and accomplishments are all laid out on my resume...you already know all that before I walk in the door. Do you like me as a person though? What is your first impression and gut feeling about me? Most importantly...do I have the ability to learn, grow and add to the organization?
